LEARN ABOUT .. "SASQUATCH"

The one question that is asked most often is "What are these Sasquatches"? The answer to that at present is, nobody really knows, but as time goes by we are learning more all the time. They appear to be more Human than anything else ; they use language ; they have intelligence and skills ; blood samples are reported to contain a mix of Human and animal blood cells ; they are curious about us and appear to learn things from observing us ; it has been reported that at times they have shown compassion and a helping hand to people who needed help ; some scientists consider that they may be a surviving species of Neanderthal man ; I read an opinion by an Oriental man who believes they are a Human-Ape Hybrid.

What ever they are we will find out someday. In the meantime we must learn all that we can about them.

I have read well over 300 chosen stories which I have gleaned to get a better understanding of Sasquatch; to learn more about them in order to progress in my studies, and pass what I have learned on to YOU the readers on my Website.

I hope that you will enjoy the following compilation of Sasquatch data.

Recap of Some 300 plus Stories That I Have Read.

Most of these excerpts have come from the above mentioned sites and other sites, and some information is from my own files and records

What Have We Found Out About Sasquatch ?

Food indicated; What do they eat?

__ Leaves ; Berries, Alder/Aspen buds, wild grain, Springtime Sap under the bark of Aspen trees

__ Potatoes, apples, any accessible fruit or vegetable. (very much the same diet as a Bear)

__ Had killed an Elk were tearing off chunks and eating

__ catch Fish, digs clams, mussels,

__ Deer, Coyote meat and entrails, small animals, marmots, field mice,

__ Edible roots and tubers, Skunk Cabbage

__  Termites, Grubs, earthworms, meat, leaves, wild peppermint, wild herbs

__  Ducks and other birds, Eggs,

__ will raid gardens for the fresh vegetables

__ will take from farmers ; small livestock animals, chickens and other fowl

__  Strong indications that they could be hunter / gatherers ; possibly store away food for leaner times.

.

Sasquatch Activity & Attitude;

They are very curious and when people are around ; they will watch from the safety of the bush ; quite interested in what people do and the way they do things. They will often make vocal gestures as if attempting to communicate with the people, but are too afraid to show themselves. People usually mistake this as being aggressive behavior on the part of Sasquatch , become afraid and far too often resort to the use of deadly force against the Sasquatch ; sometimes mortally wounding them with a rifle or shotgun blast and sometimes shooting them several times. Actually, all Sasquatch really wanted to do was has some fun inter-communicating with the people. Because of the stupidity of the people, Sasquatch will run away mortally wounded and dying just because he wanted to have some fun sharing voices back and forth. Now he dies and his family must live without him..

We must never underestimate the stupidity of people!!

.

THINGS THAT SASQUATCHES DO, Behavior & Response;- based on evidence found and eyewitness accounts of things Sasquatch/Bigfoot has been seen doing, and how they responded in situations.

__  Herd Deer ; often hunt in pairs or groups ;

__ Challenged Deer and Elk hunters for their kill, charge then stop, shaking it’s arms in display of anger.

__ Grab and run off with a Deer after a Hunter shoots it. (This happened to my wife when she shot a calf moose during the 2005 Calf Moose hunting season. Sasquatch came, grabbed it, and took off with it.)

__ Run down Deer breaks it’s spine.

__ Throws a large rock hitting a Deer and knocking it down, then running to grab it then carries it away.

__ They have been seen catching fish with their hands and carrying off several fish at a time. Probably to eat later.

__ Passes through the same farm for several months then gone ; visited potato patch & apple orchard leaving a STONE as a trade item.

__ Often leave trade items when they take something ; now that is not stealing, that is trading.

__ Collects and carefully washes and neatly piles edible roots and tubers by water then takes them away.

__ On Quesnel River, quiet water, close range, for 20 minutes female Sasquatch out in the open, watched man floating stationary in canoe he was behind some willows.

__ Dog barks then Sasquatch runs within 6-metre of man’s camp, a torn log is found where Sasquatch was looking for termites.

__ Sasquatch was throwing large rocks in water, runs down the bank and goes to jump the creek, sees Frank, grabs onto bushes on both sides with both arms using bushes as brakes, ended up eye ball to eye ball with Frank, fast lope away downstream.

__ Comes up behind Deer hunter, grabs the Deer off the hunter’s shoulder and runs off with it

__ Hunters see Bigfoot hiding behind bushes on side of Deer crossing, frightened Deer comes down trail at full run, Bigfoot grabs it, other Bigfoot had chased the Deer down the trail to be ambushed.

__ Lilloet, BC, Duck hunter is carrying a large string of Ducks draped over his back, Sasquatch sneaks up behind and grabs the ducks from him and runs away.

__ 1960 Wright Meadows, Klamath Colorado. Sasquatch seen arms outstretched in front of him carrying a large Deer

__ Wyerhauser holdings SW of the Thompson Reservoir. The bulldozer had been scraping stumps, rocks, etc. into a huge pile alongside the new logging road when he heard a loud whistling. There, on top of his pile was a Bigfoot, making motions like he vas trying to say, “get out of my forest , leave us alone." He hit the air horn on the dozer, and the Bigfoot reportedly gave him a dirty look, screamed very loud, and turned and walked away, looking back over his shoulder with a look of disgust.

__ They would squat, sniffing rocks, stacking them as they go. The stacks were of 3 to 20 rocks some of which weighed 25-45 kilo‘s , and then they would move 6-8’, a make another stack.

__ When looking for food, if they found something interesting, "the rocks would really fly,' and they would dig down as much as 1.5 meter, removing a grass nest, and eat the small rodents like a banana, skin and all, by biting them in two, then cramming the other half in their mouth. ( This may seem repulsive to us, but we must remember that Sasquatch lives in the wild with no one to teach them proper food preparation or table manners.)

__ Sasquatch raided a farmer’s chicken coop. Using a powerful 'spotlight" type of flashlight, he was met by Bigfoot standing with a chicken in his hand. He said the thing had a “peaceful" look on Its face. The thing started a deep toned chatter from deep in its throat. The witness stood there paralyzed, dropped the rifle on the ground, it discharged and blew a hole in the side of the chicken house. After the rifle went off, the Bigfoot let out a scream and ran away with the chicken.

__ Scott went up the road behind the Bigfoot on a cliff to see what he was doing. The thing was chattering, making deep hollow noises like pig grunts. Still 150-200 meter away it was doing something with its hands. Scott saw a white truck coming along the road, "road-hunting.'

The Bigfoot lowered itself to the ground until the truck was past, then raised back up. Finally Scott shot a rifle bullet in the air, and the head came back up, looking frantically around. It looked right at him, "like it didn’t give a rat’s butt who saw him. It kept flipping an arm upwards, chattering and stamping its foot down like it wanted him to leave. Scott fired a second round, and it gave him a dirty look and finally left, running to a nearby hillside ridge incredibly fast, covering the mildly rough terrain in a minute and a half, then it 'jumped' into the steep Oliver Canyon where it finally disappeared.

Descending to see what the Bigfoot had been doing Scott found a dead coyote in an animal trap. The coyote had a broken neck, and there was lots of blood and coyote hair around. The guts and rear half of the animal had been eaten.

__ an animal that looked like a gorilla, or more like an orangutan, came up to the truck and looked through the front window, then through the side window. Then it grabbed the cab of the truck and started to shake it.

__ Northern California from back in 1962-3.. The brake drum of a earth mover, assembly held by 5-6 nuts that were loosened, found the bolts stripped and the 900 pound tire missing. Three individual sets of tracks were evident, like a family group. He could see where the heavy wheel-tire assembly had been set down twice, like the critter had rested, and then thrown it over a steep embankment.

__ Man runs across a Sasquatch, it growled at him, then walked up an embankment and was gone.

__  A Bigfoot is seen by a lady driving her car. It wasn't doing anything, just standing there. As she slowed to almost a stop, the thing put its right arm and hand out, like it was trying to say, "hi there."

__ a lady talking about trying to turn her car around on Hwy. 101 near Newport . A wheel went over the embankment and she couldn't get out ; a very large man came along. She rolled the window down to speak, looked, and rolled it back up when she saw the man was hairy and wore no clothes. ; looked at her car, grabbed the front bumper and pulled her out of the ditch, and went along its way, leaving her with open mouth.

__ A man had sat motionless on a stump for over an hour watching a doe and her fawn browse. The fawn drifted over to within 6-8 feet of the timber .."all of a sudden there was a blur of action. Something came out of the timber, and in one smooth movement, snatched up that fawn in his hands, and bolted back into the timber where it came from...it was only a few feet from him.

__ Suddenly Ann noticed movement by dad's car, "we all saw it, it came from the woods to look at the car, then looked as if to say, 'I’ve got to go now, goodbye,' then went back uphill..

__ the frazzled hunter replied that indeed he'd shot- and killed- a small spike elk but that big ape took it away from me. He then explained that he'd shot the elk at a distance of 65 or 70 meter, but before he could reach the spot where it had fallen, a large, hairy, ape-like animal, like a gorilla, but bigger, with very long arms, had stepped out of the brush nearby and, walking erect, grabbed the elk by one haunch and simply drug it away.

__ a group of four plus Sasquatches stayed in close proximity to campers for several days, allowing themselves to be partially seen on occasion ; entered the campsite at night when people slept ; visual communication but not vocal ; gone during daylight hours ; continually maintaining a curious and friendly observation of the people camping there ; attitude demonstrated by Sasquatch allowed people to be comfortable with their presence ; they often imitated the body actions of certain people, someone would stand, Sasquatch would stand, someone stretched and lifted one arm, Sasquatch would do the same.

__ Thom Powell sends this from King County, WA. In 1984-5, October, near Cumberland, WA, on the road to Palmer. Hunting partners trying to spot grouse ran into a strong smell, like a wet elk, coming from a swamp. Seeing something big move only 100 feet away, and finally stand up from a squatting position, they debated and rejected shooting the creature, shooting on the road to scare it away. “It was eating skunk cabbage leaves and roots. It was very wary of us and kept rocking back and forth nervously.” The creature would duck down every now and then a few inches, apparently to “hide.” There was no noise except grunting like a big ape and a squeal when it took off when the gun was discharged. Estimated at 8-8.5 ft tall, 400 lb., grayish colored hair 12 inches long all over its body. Blackish colored flat face had lots of hair also, Negroid-like nose and large lips, rounded head, blackish skin visible in face and hands. white corneas with black pupils. It used its arms to propel itself forward, grabbing at vine maples to swing behind as it retreated. Had a small butt and ran like an ape. He noted that the creature had thumb dexterity as it peeled back the leafy material on the skunk cabbage to expose the fleshy root and eat. The upper lip pulled back when it ate and it had a row of flat teeth in the front.

__ Last week some friends of mine saw the whole family of Bigfoots catching salmon in the Green River (WA, near Mt. St. Helens). The family of Bigfoots were a total of eight, they thought there was three females, two large males, and three young ones half as tall as the three females. ~~~~~

It is said by local people that these creatures have lived off of this land all of their lives by catching salmon and drying them in the sun and storing them in caves for winter food.

.

Demonstrated Skills:-

__ Constructs shelters and blinds often as a bedding area, and constructs very intricate structures resembling frameworks. ( Could this be an attempt to construct a primitive building or shelter? ) Some of these frameworks that I have seen only needed a few tarps put over them to make a shelter good enough to get out of the weather. Could Sasquatch be learning these construction skills by watching us when we construct things like tents and cabins ?? How much are they learning from watching us ??

__ Demonstrates incredible intelligence and cunning.

__ Has Nocturnal type Vision, to what extent is not known

__ Maintains close family unit relationships.

__ On occasion they seem to have known what long-gun firearms are and that guns are dangerous to them when being held by someone.

__ Possesses Language skills which in some cases is words or a language that is known to people.

__ Gathers edible roots and tubers, carefully washes them, neatly piles them then takes them away.............(Could they be Hunter-Gatherers storing food for the winter??)

__ Physically runs fast enough to catch Deer size animals for food.

__ Hunts in pairs or groups, uses herd and ambush tactics, uses large rocks as projectiles to dispatch game animals like Deer.

__ Possesses enough strength to carry a 400+ kilo machine tire.

__  Breaks branches and small tree tops to create directional markers large and small Arches intelligently anchored or weaved together, large “X’s” possibly territorial markers, creates cleaned off arrow type markers and suspends them into willow and small tree growth to be seen at distances, creates small information markers on the ground that are only a few centimeters high.

Mike and I have recently found that almost all of the fresh arrows and markers that we came across last spring and summer have now been removed and the sticks used are not to be seen anywhere close by. The structures such as arches and other things seem just the same, but the arrow pointers and the like have gone. The small tree breaks that appear to be directional markers have been moved to point in different directions now. This brings about some very interesting questions.

a.. Did Sasquatch become bothered by the presence of people and remove and redirect his directional pointers to stop anyone from following them and henceforth, finding him ???

b.. Does Sasquatch remove these pointers and markers before leaving an area in order to avoid confusion when he returns later and makes new markers ???

Many more questions come up because of this discovery.

.Sasquatch Language;

__ The adult male stood about 8 feet tall and was massively built throughout the chest and shoulders. Large biceps and thighs. Fairly human looking genitalia was pretty well hidden by longer hair. His hair was almost black and about 4 inches long on his head and neck, gradually becoming around an inch long on the rest of him. Actually it seemed to form a sort of longer girdle on the pelvic area. All their faces were similar, with a Cro-Magnon sort of look, brow ridge, and deep-set dark brown eyes. There was no hair around the eyes or mouth area and they have a bit of a beard as well. Their hands are just like ours except on a larger scale and hair on the backs. The most striking feature about them was the eyes. They are not dumb animals! And they understand that fire can hurt them. One little ones was going to pick up an ember that spit out of my campfire and the mother grabbed its hand and slapped it, then made a very human pain-filled wincing expression and sucked her fingers while shaking her head at the little one.

Now you tell me what bear can do that! This is a communication of concerned disciplinary actions that could easily be related to how a “Human” would scold their child in the same given situation. Even Monkeys, Gorilla’s, and Apes don’t have the intelligence and parental skills that are demonstrated by this mother Sasquatch ; only humans do.

__ In 1918, story of a German gold prospector; quote; His eyes beheld a bushwoman! The hairy woman was sitting on the ground feeding a small one berries hand to mouth; the little one was sitting inside the circle of her huge legs. "…the bulk of my being was in great astonishment and fright for my safety in the presence of the giantess." Later he exclaimed, “…now in control of my faculties, I take leave of my civil upbringing to declare she is the ugliest woman ever a lonely man set eyes upon.” His journal indicated the bushwoman talked to the smaller one in words sounding of the same kind to the Tongass Tlingit Indian, which he knew as Native. ( This means that the Sasquatch spoke a known language, the language of the geographical area.)

__  Charley was frightened already but his apprehension only increased when the creature turned to him and said “You have shot my friend”

( Again Sasquatch spoke in a known Native Indian language.)

__ Albert could hear their voices, but, he couldn’t understand any of the words he heard said;

__ something that sounded to Albert like, “sooka sooka “ He too ( the Sasquatch) spoke with his new prisoner proclaiming “ook”

__ they are often observed speaking and in a few odd cases, have actually said things that people were able to understand. ( Does Sasquatch mix known language with primitive word sounds that we would expect from a Caveman or undeveloped - backward human? How far advanced are their language skills? Do they learn our languages by closely observing us.)

__ The interesting part about this is that in many similar cases related by the Indians of the Chehalis Reservation about Sasquatches speaking, the creatures are nearly always understood to be speaking in what has been referred to in recent times as “the Douglas dialect.”

Finally, thanks to a native British Columbian whom I contacted, named Ken Kristian, I learned that “Douglas” was reference to Salish Indians living in the area of Port Douglas at the north end of Harrison Lake. This particular band is known as the Douglas First Nation. Kristian also told me that the Chehalis band that Burns had worked for as an agent was located on the south end of Harrison Lake. Each band’s dialect differs slightly from one to the next but as one could guess, there would obviously be recognizable trails between dialects just as well as the differences. The aforementioned Charley was said to be part Douglas himself.

But why has the Douglas Dialect been associated with Sasquatch speech patterns? Although the region in which this dialect originates also happens to have been a hotbed for sightings over the last several decades, it still seems strange that there might be a specific Northwestern Indian dialect associated with this entity. What if it were a regional variation on what is known to be the Douglas Dialect? Perhaps certain groups of Sasquatches borrowed portions of an existing language from other people in the region.

Charley recounted the Sasquatch calling the child her “friend.” He took this to mean that the creature had probably kidnapped the (what appeared to be) white Caucasian boy, hence “friend” supported the fact that the child wasn’t her own. But could Charley have been mistaken in his interpretation? Cold the Sasquatch have meant “child” after all, but opted for this term because she didn’t know the correct word?

Such speculation still leaves us with the question of how these creatures started speaking a language so similar to that of a particular group of humans. Might this suggest that the Sasquatch and human races had common ancestors? It is said that Charley himself guessed that the Sasquatches were somehow related to the Douglas band.

A man named Alexander Katayev told of an experience he had in Russia in August 1974, where he witnessed two large hairy creatures eating together. He reported that one appeared male, and other female, and that they seemed to speak to one another in voices that reminded him of how deaf people sound when speaking. At one point the female appeared to respond with laughter to something her male counterpart said. The creatures were also described using hand motions.

Arthur Buckley once said of his research, “They communicate orally. On two separate occasions with colleagues, we have surprised a small group in their base camp, who upon a hurried retreat have resorted to a jargon that has the phonetics of a language when we got close to them.” “The sounds were all jumbled together and it sounded as though whatever it was, were trying to put words of sorts together, like it was trying to communicate with us. This would go on every minute or so.” “Whatever it was, circled around our camp in the forest without ever coming out. It sounded like it was trying to talk to us but didn’t quite have the nerve to step out and let us see it. It wasn’t real high pitched and was about as loud as us, like a man talking in a normal voice.”

The idea that we could share language with another species on this planet is fascinating for us as humans, no matter how far-fetched or even frightening it may be for some of us. Ultimately, such a discovery would certainly make this strange planet of ours feel a little smaller. The late Gloria and John Millard emailed excerpts from their journal in 1997 in which they observed a large male sasquatch for three years in the high forest range of Arizona. I remember Millard emailing me that the male spoke sternly to its youngster while it was behaving badly. It appeared to be a verbal correction of behavior for the little one's temper tantrum and dirt throwing display. (Millard to Short, 1997-8)

From Wrangell, AK a 1918 story about the gold miner who was awakened from a cat-nap in a field of berries by "people talking." Upon his investigation he encountered a mother-bushwoman feeding berries to a little one and talking to it in the manner of the Tlingit language.

__  and finally, there is this recently acquired report from a woman who befriended a sasquatch family as a little child on her father's Salmon River Ranch in Idaho who said they spoke and communicated together; they were her "friends".... published in Fate Magazine, 2004

__ Dead Sasquatch found by Wang Zelin in 1940 China, he relays story in person;- thick coat of gray-red hair, female, narrow face, deep set eyes (possibly due to dead) , jutting cheekbones, ugly protruding lips, Chinese authorities tell him it is a descendant from Gigantopithecus.

.

Physical Appearance;

__  ( By me .. Leo Selzer) I have spoken with a few people who have seen Sasquatch up close, some even close enough to see the face, with or without binoculars.

I have deliberately asked them if the face was Gorilla or Ape like. The responses that came back to me were almost always the same. I was told that the faces were human like, with full lips but thin at the mouth, not bulging like an Ape or Monkey but human like, normal width or maybe slightly wider mouth, powerful looking human jaw and chin, somewhat flat human looking nose with large nostrils, human looking brown eyes with protruding brow ridge but not exaggerated like a movie caveman, hair all over the face except around the mouth nose and eyes, large round type human shaped head, longer hair on the top and down the back of the head and neck.

All witnesses said somewhat the same but one person said it easier to understand when I asked about the hump shape from the back of the head and down the back of the neck.

I was told that from what they could remember, this hump look seemed to be mostly just the way the hair is, and did not seem to be a hump.

The neck although very short looking is just like what you see when you look at some of these 400 pound heavy weight power lifters in the strongman competitions. These guys have very heavily muscled shoulders and necks with muscle development that looks like it comes up the back of their heads. When you look at these guys, especially from the side or behind, they seem to have short necks.

This sort of looks like what we see on Sasquatch. Then with longer hair on top of the head and down the back of the neck, it would look similar to the humped head and neck of a Gorilla, even though it is not.

If these big 350 and 400 pound bulky muscled power man competitors had longer hair on top of their heads and down their necks they would look much like Sasquatch.

One lady who saw a Sasquatch up real close for about 4-5 seconds said that the first thing she noticed was it’s beautiful brown eyes. It had the most beautiful eyes, but you could see the fear in it’s eyes because we were so close. That poor thing was scared to death of us.

When I asked each witness to describe Sasquatch in one short sentence, they pretty much all said the same, “Just a big muscular hairy Negroid type person, not an ape” , one person said to me, “yup, looked just like a big dark skinned hair covered man with long arms“.

One hunter I spoke with who made me promise that I would never, ever divulge his name to anyone said that if you shaved all the hair off that Sasquatch and gave him white mans skin he would like my brother-in-law.

(Question for you readers to ponder:- Just how much human are they ? ).

__  Flat ebony black, female, eyes totally black no white showing, standing upright, foot long hands hanging 8” above knees, bristly head hair came straight up to make a tuft on top of her head, high fore head not sloped, no facial hair only black skin, bushy black eyebrows, long human nose not pongoid, long narrow slit type mouth no big lips, other hair; back of hands 3/4” back of fingers 1/4“, arms 3-4“, pubic 6-7“, body 3-4“, legs 6-7” in length.

__ describing the thing as dark with a human face, with no snout. It had fairly long hair, and the hands were human.

__ had a man's shape and a man's hands and feet, but had a massive amount of long brownish-orange hair, reminded him of an orangutan

__ there were no real ape-like Features, it was just big and ugly , reminding them of a "biker." The hair, long on the head, wasn't kinky, and there was a black skin visible under the hair. It had real long hair, a face like a "black man," about 8' tall, broad shouldered, and had tufts of hair on its shoulders, wrists, ankles and chest.

__ being beige (or tan), to a brown color with long silky hair. There was no hair on its face and the face wasn't ugly; it was like -a man's face, it didn't look like a monkey; didn't have big nostrils. It had a powerful build and very big ~ shoulders, was not slender, and was about 7' tall. It had powerful long arms, but not knee length. There was hair on top of the feet, and about 6" long hair on the body. She said the hair on top of its head was sort of curly, and it appeared to have "bangs."

__ It bad a human-like face, the nose was spread, but there was a bridge, and a heavy brow. It was very broad, especially at the shoulders, guess at four feet. the creature seemed to sense I was the leader (“I had eye contact... it looked peeved.”) It has intelligence, sensitivity, emotions, and possessed strength no human had, yet a primitive nature that dictated when to use its brutal force. It had hands and feet very similar to human, but it also possessed an animal instinct that we're not what we seemed to be. (as a group). A very cautious curiosity. I could feel this monstrous brute telling me - leave me alone, go away and leave my habitat alone ; I don’t want to hurt you, but I will if you don’t leave me alone. He turned around showing a clear profile in the process that was human, not ape or bear or alien - he is human! or like.

__ Often eyes are seen at night as orange, orange-red, or red.

__ he began to see clearly how hairy these “people” were, despite which they certainly looked like people.

__ Estimated at 8-8.5 ft tall, 400 lb., grayish colored hair 12 inches long all over its body. Blackish colored flat face had lots of hair also, Negroid-like nose and large lips, rounded head, blackish skin visible in face and hands. white corneas with black pupils. Now you tell me what bear can do that! When I say little ones I mean little. They were only tabletop height at best and tottered just like human babies do during their first few years. Their fur was not like the adults. It was more like fuzz that you see on a puppy or kitten until the adult coat grows in.

__  excerpt;- “In closing I would like to say that these are gentle, caring family oriented creatures. They showed me no aggression at all and if I had been able to stay longer I might have been able to befriend them. They are a miracle as far as I am concerned. They have restored my faith in the mystical wonders of nature. Please do not do anything to destroy their peacefulness. .....Maggie Holloway“.

Evidence Found;-

__ Mostly Nocturnal ; late afternoon, evening, night time, early morning activity.

__ Arches / bows and X's of all sizes ; framework type structures that resemble Teepee's, Domes, and large frameworks of some sort. Small structures only a few centimeters high often on the side of a road. Spindly trees bent over with the tops twisted together to form an arch often comprised of 3 trees. Willow tree tops or branches that have been cleaned off to form an arrow then placed into the tops or branches of trees to be an arrow marker visible from a distance.

__ Dome shaped Hut covered with ferns, root side up ; 14 ft diameter; 1.5 meter roof , 8-cm. thick with ferns ; floor 5-cm. thick with Fir boughs ; rock pile 60-cm high / 30-cm. rocks / 75-cm round ; 3 more found near Roseburg, OR. ; 2 tree breaks 1.5 meter high ; 110 tracks of adult & child ; tracks 36-cmX18-cm , 1.5-metre stride & 18-cm X 10-cm, 60-cm stride ; Photo’s and Plaster Casts were made.

__ Willows & other types of small trees broken off and hanging still attached ; small trees wrapped around others ; limbs twisted off ; APPEAR TO BE MARKERS ; rocks removed from roadway ;

__ Strange finger marks on rotten log, feces containing undigested earthworms, termites, some kind of meat, leaves, wild peppermint, twigs & brush.

__ Shelter blinds and beds, sometimes padded with extra moss or evergreen boughs.

__ Near Wocus Bay, Klamath Co, Or. hunter following wounded deer, found a piece of horn impaled in a pine tree 8' up, fresh blood running down the tree, as if something had swung the wounded deer, splatting its head against the tree to finish it off.

__  West of Knappa Canyon Dam down in Klamath County in August of 1979. While chasing a deer he had shot, it bounded into a very dense thicket of trees about 150 yards off the road. He couldn’t find the deer, but he did find a strange clearing ; there was no grass or trees in the well "stomped" area of about 30-40 feet in a rough oval. At the north end of the oval there were piles of poop, some 2-3 feet high, and at the other end of the clearing was a pile of bones...some bleached, some with meat still on them.

Near Sycan Butte over in Lake County ;-...led to a cave, then on out to a rocky point. The entrance to the cave was 5' high, 8-10 ft wide, and looked like it opened up considerably inside, as far as he could tell from the outside where the light penetrated into the blackness.

Roy didn’t have any light, but as he said the cave stunk of 'Bigfoot" throughout, Outside the cave there was a pile of bleached bones, again, some with meat still on them, on the south slope, while to the north were great piles of poop over the edge.

__  (POSSIBLE HUMAN MAYBE NOT) vacated bed of a BigFoot. There was a big egg-shaped circle, with an opening towards the timber. The dirt at the north side had been excavated somewhat, the dirt piled at one end of the 3-metre. long bed serving as a pillow. There was no odor, hut he mentioned a 'dropping' at one side of the oval on the ground. There was also a "lounging area.' Most astounding, there was a deer hide, fresh meat and lots of fat on the bottom, the fur side up...for the bed. The four hooves were still attached, and there was no grass padding under the hide.

__ He found two "beds" in the brush, one about 3-metre X 1.2 meter, the other smaller, oriented at an angle away from the other, was maybe 2.5-metre X 1.2-metre, the size of a sheet of plywood. Both were lined with cedar boughs, the nearby cedars having branches broken off "way up," Stan says. Datus listening in thinks maybe Stan woke ‘em up, and that they were probably nearby watching Stan from behind a tree.

__ Green River, N.W. of Mt. St. Helens. All of a sudden a bear comes crashing through the brush, and with a side shot to the heart he killed it with a single round. Examining the caracas he thought to himself, "I've shot a wild man! A big hairy wild man." Afraid of trouble over the incident, and without telling his partner, he dug a trench on the hill slope, and rolled the hairy wild man in, and covered it with dirt and part of the rotten log the BF had been eating grubs from. In the later days of his life he told his wife, Helen Brooks, now deceased herself, who told the tale to Datus Perry. He unsuccessfully tried to have her locate the site on a map...so, somewhere out there is a skeleton of BF if the critters didn't dig it up later.

__ While hunting around Dry Creek, near Starkey, Or., in 1979, they found a ravine that had something strange. There were 15-20 sheep hanging, laid over the branches of trees, and they were 3-4.5 meter up. Three were on the ground, and all smelled rotten, but had not been eaten on. They reported it, and the ranger said it was the strangest thing he had ever seen. Jim Hewkin said he reported a similar incident where a dead cow was found in the crotch of an alder tree. ...... reports the finding of "piles of rocks." The scattered piles could be as few as 3-4 little rocks stacked to 1 foot high, up to 6-8 big rocks. There usually wasn't a source apparent for the rocks; there were no pits; they didn't look freshly stacked, and may be as much as a mile apart. There was a report in the Patterson files about 3 BF burying a 4th, and stacking boulders on the grave.

__ One day he noticed one of the dead cows had been moved quite a bit ... then it turned up missing. And finally, he found a cow hanging in the low crotch of an alder tree...beyond normal human capability, and no tracks were ever found.

__ southeast of Stayton, Oregon, occurred an interesting report ; interesting because the sighting took place for approximately an hour. In Sept. of 1987, Chris Johnson was bow hunting in some secluded wilderness when he quietly came on a clearing around a pond. On the opposite side of the pond there was a large male Sasquatch sitting against a tree, and behind him about 6-metre was a female laying down with an infant leaning against her.

Chris says that his presence was no secret to them as for that hour they just stared continuously at him, only occasionally looking up at each other briefly. The Sasquatch were described as having dark faces and a heavy coat of dark brown hair. Chris' sighting ended when he realized that it was soon to be dark and with his own safety in mind, exited with hopes of not being followed.

__ three conical constructions built around saplings that were invisible from the road 35-metre away. They were about 2.2 meter high and 1.2 meter wide and constructed of sticks that had been bitten off, butt end up. The three constructions were about the same size and separated by 5-6 meter at the base of a small hill.

__ U.S. Military Cover-up ( Fort Lewis WA. 1977-1978 )

Later, heading to his room, he was approached by L. Robles, a Puerto Rican soldier who was commissioned in the hospital's lab.

Robles asked Godoy what was it he had shot. Godoy said he was not allowed to discuss the matter and Robles insisted on asking. He asked Robles why was it so important for him to know. Robles answered: "I, together with two other guys, had to analyze the blood samples taken from the ground, and we know you are the soldier involved,,(shot a Sasquatch while on Duty), because it was stated as such in the report... And you know? It's crazy, but... what was it you shot out there? When we examined the blood samples we found out three weird things in it... That blood contained human blood cells, animal blood cells...and chlorophyll. Man, that's incredible! What the ---- was it?

__ There were no footprints to be found, but 1/4 mile away they did find a 12X12 foot area in the ferns that something had used for a bed. The ferns were alternately laid in a cross-patch pattern for a bed ; laid first one way, then the other.

( To have the intelligence to create such an elaborate piece of handiwork like this bed to sleep on is the action of an incredibly intelligent Being ; NOT a big stupid Ape. Most of the people that I know don't have enough intelligence to create such a bed out in the bush.

That is intended to be a compliment to Sasquatch, not a rundown of the people that I know..)

__ All of the beds we have ever seen in caves near Quartz Creek east of Mt. St. Helens, was made from soft moss, at least one foot thick. We could see where all of this moss had been removed from the large maple trees as these are the only trees where this soft moss grows.

Speculation:-

__ Markers may be for night time travel as eyesight may not be adequate on moonless dark nights / eye pigment reflection color by witnesses has some scientists speculating that Sasquatch eyesight may not be luminous enough in extremely dark conditions. Markers may be for others to see and follow, and may also be for the individual who created them if he is having trouble seeing clearly. Or markers might simply be direction for others to follow and or some could convey a message of territory.

__ As many of the structures such as arched over trees that have their tops anchored under the branches of large trees where there is great distances from the ground, it could be that these tree bendings are a result of the children doing the work, by instruction or by play.

__ It seems like Caves play a part in Sasquatch life as some have been found with the Sasquatch smell inside. These caves might be a base camp of sorts. It may also be the place where they would spend the winter giving shelter from the cold. Caves that have been mentioned have broken off trees or some other material being used to act as a seal or weather guard. Also, there has been large rocks that obscure the entrance. This would indicate a more frequently used place of stay.

Considering none of these caves found have as yet been explored it would be interesting to find out if these caves contain food stashes for the lean winter months. If not, then Sasquatch would have a very deficient diet over those months. Would this indicate a possible short term hibernation similar to that of the Grizzly Bear ??

Because Sasquatch is all over, from the far North to the Equator, long distance winter migration to a warmer place would not be very likely. That leaves only one of two likelihood's left. Either they store food for to help get through the lean months or they semi hibernate as does a Grizzly Bear, and get food when they are up and awake.

If a cave is found that strongly suggests Sasquatch uses it, then it would be a good idea to investigate the area around the location of the cave during the cold winter in order to see if Sasquatch is likely denned up inside. This could turn out to be a very dangerous exercise but valuable answers may be found.

__ I have read where some Native American people say that when the first white men came to North America and brought the diseases that killed off so many Native people, it also killed off most of the Sasquatch population as well. They say Sasquatch was susceptible to these diseases and was almost wiped out. This could be a contributing factor in Sasquatch kidnapping women and girls to use as his mates if no females of his own species could be found.

If this is true, then it could happen that through these Native Indian females, Sasquatch would have even a greater opportunity to learn spoken language direct from hands on teaching. This would be the language of the tribe that the individual female was captured from.

Sasquatch would then carry the knowledge of these languages through his generations and could moderately expand on this language talent with each generation. That would clearly explain what is being said in present times, that Sasquatch does have and does speak language. Several readings that I have enjoyed claim that Sasquatch is known to speak a language called Douglas Dialect. I have recently found out that this Douglas Language is supposedly a twist of the Salish Language. Could it then be possibly that here in North America, Sasquatch has over a long period of time been able to bring some English words and phrases into his linguistic skills ??

If Sasquatch is Human or a sub-species of Human these language skills would most certainly be a possibility. From eye witness reports we know that Sasquatch in deed has language, but what is this language and what words and phrases does it contain??

__ I am becoming a very strong believer in what our Native First Nations People have said about Sasquatch for centuries; that being; that they are a people, that they do speak language. With that being said, would they actually be human or a sub species of human? I don't know, but this I do know. God has given them life the same as He has given us life. If they are in fact human it just means that we are the higher order of our species. I know that this line of thinking will likely offend a lot of people. But, why should we be so pompous as to think that we are the only representation of our species
